Hugs of Hope Stuffed Animal Drive
Help Brighten a Child’s Valentine’s Day!

February can be a cold winter month, so let's warm hearts with a simple expression of LOVE. Our goal is to collect 500 new stuffed animals to include in the Journey Bags we provide to children in foster care across Northeast Ohio. Each bag is "stuffed with love, delivered with hope."

When children are removed from their homes, they often only have a plastic garbage bag to carry their belongings. Fostering Hope partners with agencies to provide duffel bags full of essentials and comfort items to support them during this difficult transition.

Why Are Stuffed Animals Important?

A cuddly stuffed animal is more than just a toy—it’s a source of comfort, stability, and emotional security during one of the most challenging moments in a child’s life. Your donation can help bring a sense of warmth and hope to a child in need.

How to Donate:

We’ve made it easy for you to contribute! You can donate a NEW stuffed animal with tags in one of three ways:

  1. Amazon Registry – Select a stuffed animal from our Amazon Wishlist and have it shipped directly to our office.

  2. Mail a Stuffed Animal – Purchase from any merchant and send it to:

    Fostering Hope
5351 Naiman Parkway, Suite C, Solon, Ohio 44139

  3. Drop Off a Stuffed Animal – Bring a new stuffed animal to a designated local drop-off location or our headquarters.

Join Us in Making a Difference!

Your gift of a stuffed animal will bring comfort and joy to a child this Valentine’s Day. Help us reach our goal and spread hope, one hug at a time!

City Club Forum: Aging Out of the Foster Care System

City Club Forum: Aging Out of the Foster Care System

Every year, roughly a thousand young people in the foster-care system in Ohio “age out” and are thrust into a reality where they are more likely to face homelessness, unemployment, and food scarcity. Child welfare agencies are working to fill the gaps, but opportunities remain.

Adrian McLemore has an intimate and deep understanding of the foster care system. At just six years old, Adrian found himself in a foster home. For the next 12 years, he lived in three states, bouncing between his parents and the system, eventually aging out of foster care. Then at 21, he responded to a call to become a kinship caregiver for his niece and nephew, who were both toddlers at the time. From these experiences, Adrian has become a champion for ensuring young people are part of the foster care conversation. He has spent over 20 years providing professional, progressive, & personal expertise across a broad range of child welfare systems.

Join the City Club as we hear from Adrian on how we can all strategically partner with agencies and institutions to improve outcomes for youth and families.

Friends of Fostering Hope will receive 20% off non-member tickets and table purchases by using the code: HOPE.
